Each and every design was superb. We cannot thank the designers enough for taking the time to try and make us look less awkward than we usually do on a daily basis. Seriously, you are a talented bunch and we’d be lucky to wear any one of those kits.
We’re all really stoked on Jacqueline’s design and can’t wait to work with her to get everything rolling.
We’re now one step closer to just worrying about riding our bikes marginally fast. Huzzah!

Competition Submission

Damn. One designer with six designs. Nick makes me feel bad about my lack of accomplishment.
We here at Stampede! sure do love a well designed kit. We’re also well aware of our own creative and financial limitations. That’s why we’ve decided to run a contest to design our kits for the 2012 season. This invitation goes out to all designers professional or amateur. What does the winner get? A free jersey, $100 and sponsor space on the kit. Also we will sing your praises all over the interwebz.
So what are we looking for? Well here’s some examples of kits that we’d be proud to wear if we weren’t riding for Stampede!.
Clearly we’re not afraid of color [cough,purple,cough].
We’ve decided to use Champion Systems as our printer because they seem to be the easiest to work with. Although, we won’t turn down Verge submissions if you really like working with their format. According to ChampSys’ website you only need to design a top and bib shorts and it will apply to all associated tops and bottoms. Essentially we need: Raglan sleeved Jersey, Bib shorts, arm/leg warmers, gloves, long sleeve skinsuit.
The winner will be decided by the members of Stampede!. We also reserve the right to change the design as the clothing manufacturer requires for printing.
The tentative deadline for submission will be January 2nd, 2012. However we might extend it if people are struggling. Please send all submissions or questions to dan.cariolo@gmail.com with the subject “Stampede submission”. Please spread the word and thank you in advance.

Team Pegasus Boston has risen from the ashes to become STAMPEDE! (we really dig animal themes). We’re essentially a bunch of passionate goofs who love racing. We’re going to carry the same ethos from Pegasus to Stampede!. We want to help introduce other urban riders to racing. Starting out racing is so much less intimidating when you have rad people to go with. We don’t care what you ride as long as you want to have fun. Our strategy is to mash the pedals, heads down until some immovable object inevitably stops us. Look to our tumblr for news, group ride info, and photos of our misguided antics.
